All research articles and most other types of articles in the INNOVIAIR journal undergo rigorous peer review, typically involving evaluation by two independent reviewers, to maintain the integrity and quality of the research. INNOVIAIR journal employs a double-blind peer review process, in which neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's names or affiliations, thereby ensuring the fairness of the review process.
All manuscripts undergo a technical check upon submission. Manuscripts that pass the technical check are subject to an appropriateness review by our internal editorial team.
Eligible manuscripts are sent for peer review. Reviewers may be invited by the external editorial board or the internal editorial team (referred to as "editors").
After peer review, if revisions are required:
- Major Revisions are usually re-evaluated by the original reviewers.
- Minor Revisions are usually re-evaluated by the editors only.
Editors then make a decision to:
- Request further revisions.
- Accept the manuscript.
- Reject the manuscript.
All final decisions are subject to quality checks by the internal editorial team.
Overall editorial responsibility is held by the Editor-in-Chief, internal editors, or a subset of editors, depending on the journal's structure. In all cases, members of the editorial board serve as handling editors.
All eligible manuscripts are thoroughly reviewed by at least two reviewers from the relevant research community. When selecting reviewers, we strive to avoid conflicts of interest and close collaborators of the authors, such as regular collaborators or former mentors. We do not require reviewers to assess the importance of the research; instead, we ask them to focus on ensuring results are accurately reported and to reject papers if the research has fundamental flaws. In cases where the journal cannot find sufficient peer reviewers, INNOVIAIR may, as a matter of course, choose to use publishing partners to provide reports within an agreed timeframe to avoid further delays for authors. If sufficient reviewers cannot be found within a reasonable period, the journal may also withdraw the submission. This is intended to ensure authors receive a timely and fair decision on their manuscript.
